i am planning on my Dec daily being mostly digital this year- i think it's the only way i can ever hope to even dream of keeping up. i have started this project at least two or three times in past years, and sadly, i have never finished a complete year- i either get too busy and just have to stop, or i feel so guilty about taking the time to make the pages that i leave it all for "later"- which of course never happens- so i'm really hoping to stick with it & finish an album this year. It most certainly doesn't help that we go on a big family vacation the day after Christmas, but i always take the computer along, so i will certainly have time while we drive! i am taking Ali Edward's amazing Storytelling with Dec Daily class to help me get ready. i will be using these digital overlays, and hope to print my photos out either weekly or every other week, and combining them with some project life style cards & embellishments. i'm thrilled that we recently got a new printer too- a canon pixma mg7720 so photos will print beautifully. Speaking of photos, my sweet friend Jenn Lynn, just took A-mazing photos of us in a mini session a few weeks ago (LOVE). As long as i can use a photo or even just get some simple journaling in each day, i'm going to call it good & done this year, and decide right now to feel good about it! i think too high expectations of myself have also blocked me from continuing with this project in the past. also too much stuff is overwhelming. in addition to the digi goodies, i'm using Ali Edward's main Dec Daily Kit , Ashley G's amazing mini kit & Kelly Purkey's too. i am using this beautiful Jasmine Jones 4x6 album- i chose this size because- again- the simpler i can make things, the more i think i'm likely to be able to stick with it this year. heaven help me, right?! ;)
my intentions for this holiday season are to seriously pare things down this year, and to create a sense of calm and peace in our home despite all the craziness that is sure to be all around us. i really want to take in the magic this season, to promote as much twinkling as possible in myself & in everything around us. i pray that we are all kept safe, healthy & well this holiday season and into 2016. Blessings everyone. it's the little things you have to stop and notice. namaste.
