still battling

hi! yep- i'm still battling the allergy/head cold of winter 09. it's been just over a week now- i'm 97% better, but the lingering last bit is driving me crazy. the chapped cracked upper lip from too much nose blowing is the worst. i'm thankful that it's not serious like the flu, but i'm over it. seems like this year, with my daughter taking more preschool classes at the rec center, we're being exposed to lots more ick. friends tell me to expect to be catching everything until she's in like the 5th grade, when we'll finally have built up some immunity- ugh. are you kidding me? i'm already carrying bottles of hand sanitizers & anti-bac wipes everywhere we go, so i guess there's not much else we can do. "take your vitamins" is what i hear my dad saying in my head constantly ;)

i did manage to mail out some valentines & get my SIS Rainbow swap cards done & out (but sadly, they did go out a couple of days behind).

i am definitely going to the ScrapETC event again this year- i am super, super stoked to go see my girls- Mandy, Lisa, Virginia, LeAnne..WooHOO!! i'm hoping Tina, Patricia, Mary, Katie & Kathy will be there too. i've never been to Atlanta- so can you tell, i'm excited!?! i had to make 3 sets of 'purple' cards. i used corrugated cardboard, paint, doodlebug ribbons/trims, creative charms sequin flowers (love these-couldn't resist the touch of pink), heart stamp (heidi swapp). the back's are just purple card stock stamped with my houndstooth stamp (hero arts). i used colorbox ink in eggplant. i thought these turned out pretty cool!
