halloween project goodness!

i am so into the halloween projects this year- guess it's cause my sweet baby girl is getting big enough to really start getting into all the festivities!
so here's a couple pictures of some projects i just finished:

First up- i just completed Valerie Salmon's spooky book. i totally love how it turned out. i ordered a limited edition kit from her that came with all the papers & embellies. i so thoroughly enjoyed putting this one together.
you can make a book of your own too. she is sold out of the kits, but is offering a download of how-to-instructions (kit used Scenic Route Salem line-but you could use any cute halloween papers & embellies in your stash) & she includes some really cute bonus labels she created. the cost is like $16-& you can find it on Valerie Salmon's website! it is so so fun! just make one already!!

next up, is the Jenni Bowlin project kit the Oct kit is everything needed to make a bunch of adorable halloween skewers. it uses the Cosmo Cricket Haunted line- stickers, journaling blocks & matching blackboard- these are just so stinkin' cute! The JB monthly project kits are always spectacular & cost less than $20. they are always quick & easy & super cool. you know i love Jenni Bowlin!! happy happy

Third- MC & i did some more baking this week & made some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that are just really dang good. i found the recipe on heidi swapp's blog. they are easy & delicious & the main reason that i'm not going to lose one pound this week- but you know what? i'm ok with that! so i've decided i may as well take anyone reading this post down with me...lol
please note that the dough for these is very wet & globs onto the cookie sheets from the spoon/small cookie scoop- but do not worry. they puff up into cake-like yum yums.
preheat the oven well & don't overcook them. 12 min. is good and you'll want to eat some right away. enjoy!

PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1 c. pumpkin
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
Nuts (optional)

Dissolve baking soda in milk; set aside. In large bowl add pumpkin, sugar, oil, and egg; stir. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 minutes or until done.

what's next you say? well next up, we have Virginia's fun fun book to make! wanna make one with me?? you can totally play along too! order a kit from ScrapETC & watch the video! i'll post when we get it finished. hurry- because the free online class will only be up until the 31st!!
mine is going to be our halloween pics from the last 3 years!! i love that they'll finally have a home!
^o^
