hi! i wanted to share a couple of one layer cards i made recently after being inspired again during my Holiday Card Workshop 2014 going on at Online Card Classes. The amazingly talented & always inspiring Jennifer McGuire taught some fun partial die-cutting techniques for super cool one layer cards. i honestly tried & tried, but after many attempts, i decided to just attach the sweet little deer & tree over the top of the die cut scalloped circle & get the same look without all the frustration ;) i'll try again when i have more time & a little more patience ;). i'm so sorry for the poor photos- my camera is in need of a new memory card, and my tent & photography lights are at the hubs office (to come back to me soon i hope!) so in the meantime, i'm stuck with only my phone, an ott light, and the sunshine through the window! here's a detail shot of the fabulous shimmer/shine:
the pink card is just as shimmery thanks to MFT's fabulous sheer shimmer mist (product link in supplies below.) Oh! another fun new thing i've been experimenting with is embossing/texture paste & stencils- so fun, so stinkin' cool, as well as super quick & easy- LOVE! thanks for stopping by i know it's been forever, but it's been a crazy long time since i've had a crafty space to call my own! hope to be back soon -xo
