sorry dad, i'm still klutzy!

cupcake and i writing from here on the couch. so as some of you know, i smashed my head into a bookshelf while walking in the dark last monday. the blow dropped me to my knees, i saw stars and sobbed like a baby- long story short, i saw a doctor the next day (actually 3) and had a cat scan. i'm ok- i've just severely bruised everything & have pain that goes to 11 in my skull, scalp & face. the goose egg is starting to get better, and the bones will heal on their own over the next month or so. i haven't been driving/ going anywhere, and have just been at home taking it easy with lots of pain meds & icing my head. it's been frustrating to look around & see a million things that need my attention & time that i can't even get to- ya know? hoping i'll feel well enough by next week to drive & get my daughter back to her preschool classes & activities. one nice thing is that i've had lots of time to watch Twilight Twilight ,i've also been enjoying lots of tweeting and catching up with favorite blogs. oh- i have finally gotten around to installing TweetDeck on my Mac- i love it- if you don't have it yet, you totally need this app- but don't say i didn't warn you- clear your schedule & prepare to be consumed by it's coolness. i've also grown very fond of the ongoing 6x6 recipe swaps on the SIS message boards. it's always fun to get the package in the mail with some new recipes. this month i used a Becky Higgins recipe for an apple toffee dip that is out of this world (credits are on the back of my lo). i made the transparencies on my home printer using a $4 printable designed by Rhonna Farrer at House of 3 called Recipe Printable Kit- so cute!

top o' the mornin'.. oh wait, that was yesterday!

sorry i'm late-i've been crazy busy! hope your St. Patrick's Day was lucky & fun- we had a great day here at home- complete with green milk for the little kids & green beer for the old kids--good stuff!! i've been up to some crafty things that involve my sewing machine, thanks to some super cool classes at SIStv! This week, it was 'Sew Easy Aprons' taught by fashionista Martha Bonneau (goodness she's inspring!); the Jenni Bowlin project kit this month is super cute; i made some Easter cards using my new Karen Stolper stamp from American Art Stamps (and got to take another awesome card class of Laura's at my lss last Thursday); i watched the hubs participate in his first ju jitsu tournament; and today, (horn fanfare please) i hosted my first toddler party for my daughter's entire preschool class! We all met for a play date/lunch party in the park! There were 14 kids (all aged 5 & under) and 11 adults! Whew! Our family provided the cheese pizzas, drinks and some snacks, and other Moms made cupcakes & brought goodies too- everyone had such a great time! it was 80 degrees & sunny here today, so it was just a perfect day to be outside (despite everyone's allergies going crazy with all the pollen in the air!) the kids had the whole playground & sandbox to themselves & i even got a bit of a sunburn! in all the rushing i forgot my camera, but luckily, another Mom took some photos, so i'll try & get her to email me a few. Oh & if you haven't seen this month's Scripts kit- you're gonna want to drop everything RIGHT NOW & go order one--it is amazing- love LoVe LOVE (Can you say AccuCut OWLS! insert squeaky squeals here!) i cannot wait for some more crafty time to dig into this one!! happy, happy me! told ya i've been busy, LOL! the rest of this month is packed with continued 4x/wk of preschool classes, another party to attend, easter basket prep, & of course i'm going to a TWILIGHT DVD release party Sat night-wooHoo!! anyway- here's some pics:

freakin' awesome

is how the Photojojo Vegas photo safari was today! i was thrilled when i read they were coming to town for the big PMA convention (it's an International, all things photo/imaging convention) & they were hosting a photo safari to Vegas' Neon Boneyard sponsored by HP- WooHoo! Of course, it was full, but i still put my name on the wait list thinking- you never know, right?! Well i got a text like an hour out that a few spots had opened up-so i called right away!! there was no way i could make it in time to catch the group shuttle from the convention center, so i called them & drove down to the site & met up with everyone there! YESSSSSS! By the way-if you're not yet receiving Photojojo's email newsletter- leave here immediately & go sign up already!!
it was quite a big group of fellow shutterbugs- it was great!! we walked around taking shot after shot. good stuff. i met some really great people & even got to meet some of the Photojojo staff- Jen the shop manager and Amit himself!! such a thrill!! Another highlight was meeting a man from Australia taking pictures with his incredible instamatic Land Camera (old silver one with bellows- i had to stop & watch-my jaw fell open!) & oh man did his shots ever ROCK gorgeous! After the shoot, we met up at a local Irish pub for photo printing & giveaways & drinks! today was such a treat! i'd like to thank my sweet hubs for totally dropping everything this afternoon & making this happen for me- i had a blast & you're the best!
